The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Personal information collected as part of the message board registration is used only to provide an enhanced user experience for registered members. These features allow us to send special email messages regarding the community features of our websites. Additionally, registered members may send and receive private email messages from other registered members. No other members will actually see your email address. You may deselect this option at any time.
You can subscribe to our newsletter as well as updates on our new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the subscription form or select it as an option in a survey or purchase. When we collect information for surveys, we use that information to better design our websites and tailor the information on it to our members interests.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our websites and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our subscription or survey forms, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
We may share some of our data, including personally identifiable information about you, with our subsidiaries, partners, and joint ventures. To the extent that these entities have access to your information, they will treat it at least as protectively as we treat your information. It is possible that ElderCare Online or ALZwell Caregiver Support, our subsidiaries, joint ventures, or any combination of such, could merge with or be acquired by another business entity. Should such a combination occur, you should expect that we would share some or all of your information in order to continue to provide our services.
We cooperate with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties to enforce laws, such as: intellectual property rights, fraud, and other rights. We can disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us or you to legal liability.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
You can access all your personal information by editing your member profile in the message board area. Only you and the publisher/website administrator have access to your personal information. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.
You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
We will remove your name from the newsletter mailing list if you send a request to email@example.com.
